Do I need to submit an ID or email?
No. NearMatch is built on a zero-PII privacy design. You only pick an anonymous username and create your own 6-digit numeric passcode. We never ask for your email address, personal identification, or phone number.
What is the difference between "Same Camp" and "Any Camp"?
"Same Camp" exclusively pairs you with peers registered in your specific local camp (e.g., Main Camp with Main Camp). "Any Camp" broadens your search across all registered regional camp zones.
Why are profile pictures blurred?
To protect your privacy and reduce visual bias, all photos are blurred automatically. Images are only revealed when both chatting partners mutually press the "Reveal Profile" button.
Can I recover my passcode if I forget it?
Because passcodes are cryptographically salted and hashed into irreversible strings without saving your email or phone, forgotten passcodes cannot be retrieved. Keep your passcode secure!
Is NearMatch free to use?
Yes, NearMatch is 100% free for all members. We are supported by non-intrusive display sponsorships and ads.
